Part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, the beauty of the Quinta do Lago Beach extends over 3.5 kilometres and is separated from the hotel by the estuary.
This Beach can only be accessed over a wooden walkway approximately 320 metres in length (one of the longest in Europe), crossing the Ria Formosa estuary and helping to maintain the ecological balance of the fauna and flora present here.
A member of "the Leading Hotels of the World", the Hotel Quinta do Lago is set amidst almost 2,000 acres of rolling hills and pine woodlands, overlooking the tranquil estuary of the Ria Formosa. At Hotel Quinta do Lago, guests enjoy life as it should be lived, relaxing in superbly appointed rooms and suites, and enjoying a choice of fine cuisine and wine, all complemented by attentive but discreet service.
Golfers can play on courses that regularly host the Portuguese Open; windsurfers can skim across their own saltwater lake; and there are superb riding stables and tennis courts available.
To cool off, guests can choose between the glorious, blue Atlantic and the superb indoor and outdoor heated pools. But for those who simply wish to wind down, what could be more relaxing than a walk in the hotel's beautiful grounds, or a long, lazy afternoon on the golden sands of the beach. Or you can indulge in a relaxing massage in our Health Club.
There are 121 well-appointed rooms and 20 suites, including a Royal Suite with its own private pool. All have air conditioning, balconies, satellite television, safety-deposit boxes, video players, internet data port system telephone lines and mini bar in every room. Hotel Quinta do Lago also provides non-smoking accommodation.
The hotel is located on the Algarve coast in southern Portugal, in a place where outstanding natural beauty is perfectly complemented by gracious living. Where acres of green, undulating countryside, scented pine forests, flower-bordered lakes and lush vegetation meander down to a golden shore.
Guests can enjoy cocktails in the Laguna Bar before dining in one of two superb restaurants - the Ca' d'Oro serves fine Venetian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere, while the Brisa do Mar offers a varied menu featuring many traditional Portuguese specialties. Only the freshest local produce is used. Light meals are also available at the poolside bar.
A beautiful white sandy beach is just a few minutes' walk across the picturesque wooden bridge that crosses the tidal lagoon to the dunes and Gigi's, one of the most famous eating places in the Algarve.
